Before it disappears into the mountains
In 1968 John, Paul, George and Ringo the most famous people in the world, sought spiritual solace and an escape from the trappings of fame at the mountain Ashram of the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi in the foothills of the Himalayas. Today the Ashram is a ruin slowly being swallowed up by the jungle. In 2020 photographer Michael Donald visited to make a record of the place before it disappears into the mountains.
